FAQs
Argentium Silver
Argentium has a higher purity than traditional sterling silver (940 or 960 parts per 1000, rather than 925), it is more durable and has a brighter, whiter colour.
It is highly tarnish resistant and hypoallergenic, so more suitable for those who are unable to wear traditional sterling silver. Argentium silver also has excellent durability and greater scratch restistance.
Importantly, responsibly made from ethically sourced and recycled silver. It is also kinder to the environment, as less chemicals are used in it’s production.
It can be recognised by Argentium's 940 and 960 grades set new purity levels for silver. (These are recognised by 925 and 958 UK Hallmarks). It can also be recognised by the Winged Unicorn Hallmark.
Ethically Sourced Gemstones
Whilst the ethical concerns surrounding gem material gathering are significant, but we only buy from suppliers who ensure that the gemstones have been responsibly and sustainably sourced, in a way that limits the impact on the environment and ensures fair pay and working conditions.
Tips for looking after your jewellery
From December 2025, most of our silver jewellery will be made from Argentium Silver. This tarnishes less quickly than sterling silver but will still benefit from the same care. Similarly, any 9ct gold can also be cleaned with a soft cloth.
Store your jewellery individually to prevent scratches.
Consider storing in an airtight container to reduce oxidisation or store in a soft cloth bag or box.
Keep chains fastened so they don’t tangle.
Polish your jewellery with a soft cloth or alternatively use a silver polishing cloth.
Last on, first off. Try to avoid perfumes, make up and creams, as they will cause your jewellery to tarnish quicker.
Try to remove your jewellery before swimming, working out or showering.

Hallmarking
Most of our pieces do not legally require hallmarking as they are under the required weight It’s a legal requirement for silver over 7.78g, gold and palladium over 1g, and platinum over 0.5g to have a UK recognised hallmark.
